A mass-produced light comes out of a mold, identical to thousands of others. A Coconut & Snow light comes from the hands of an artisan in Finland, piece by piece.

Crafted in small batches, never mass-produced

Each piece is shaped by hand, in limited numbers. No production line, no standardization: the grain of the wood, the cut of the fabric, the assembly — each varies slightly from one piece to the next. It's proof that no machine ever touched it.

Finnish wood is selected for its quality before being worked by hand. Afro-Caribbean textiles are chosen one by one for their pattern and richness of color, then paired with the wood with care given to every detail. This time invested in the making — exactly what mass production seeks to eliminate — is precisely what gives the object its quality and longevity.
